At Freepik, one of the world’s leading creative and AI platforms, we’re looking for a media-savvy, proactive, and storytelling-driven PR & Communications Specialist to shape how our brand shows up in Spain (HQ) and across Europe 🌍.
You’ll be at the heart of how Freepik connects with journalists, policymakers, and the creative industry — making sure our voice is heard in conversations about AI, digital policy, creativity, and technology.
Media & Press Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and editors in Spain and across Europe.
Manage day-to-day press inquiries and proactively pitch stories highlighting Freepik’s innovation in tech, AI, and the creator economy.
Draft and localize press releases, opinion pieces, and media statements for European outlets.
Monitor media coverage and prepare reporting/analysis for leadership.
Events & Thought Leadership
Coordinate press activities and media presence at industry events, conferences, and Freepik-led activations (e.g. Upscale Conf).
Support with press kits, talking points, and media briefing materials for Freepik executives.
Ensure event-related PR is amplified before, during, and after each activation across Europe.
Internal Communications (in partnership with HR)
Support HR with clear, engaging internal communication campaigns (employee newsletters, all-hands, leadership messages).
Help strengthen company culture and employee engagement through consistent storytelling.
Government & Institutional Relations
Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government bodies, and industry associations related to AI, digital economy, and creative industries.
Track and analyze policy developments (e.g. EU AI Act) and advise on potential implications.
Collaborate with leadership to position Freepik as a constructive voice in policy discussions around AI, creativity, and design.
Coordinate with communications and legal teams to prepare Freepik’s contributions to policy forums, roundtables, or regulatory consultations.
Agency & Global PR Team Collaboration
Act as the point of contact for external PR agencies in Europe.
Brief and align agencies on Freepik’s messaging, priorities, and campaign needs. Coordinate cross-market PR activations.
Team player with a global PR team and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment, with different time zones
7–9 years of experience in PR, comms, or public affairs (ideally tech, SaaS, or creative industries).
Proven track record of top-tier media coverage in Spain and Europe.
Excellent writing & storytelling skills in Spanish + English (C1) — French a plus.
Experience engaging with policymakers, associations, or regulatory bodies is highly valued.
Strategic thinker, strong executor, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced international environment.
