You’ll be at the heart of how Freepik connects with journalists, policymakers, and the creative industry — making sure our voice is heard in conversations about AI, digital policy, creativity, and technology.

🚀 What you’ll do

Media & Press Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and editors in Spain and across Europe.

  • Manage day-to-day press inquiries and proactively pitch stories highlighting Freepik’s innovation in tech, AI, and the creator economy.

  • Draft and localize press releases, opinion pieces, and media statements for European outlets.

  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reporting/analysis for leadership.

Events & Thought Leadership

  • Coordinate press activities and media presence at industry events, conferences, and Freepik-led activations (e.g. Upscale Conf).

  • Support with press kits, talking points, and media briefing materials for Freepik executives.

  • Ensure event-related PR is amplified before, during, and after each activation across Europe.

Internal Communications (in partnership with HR)

  • Support HR with clear, engaging internal communication campaigns (employee newsletters, all-hands, leadership messages).

  • Help strengthen company culture and employee engagement through consistent storytelling.

Government & Institutional Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government bodies, and industry associations related to AI, digital economy, and creative industries.

  • Track and analyze policy developments (e.g. EU AI Act) and advise on potential implications.

  • Collaborate with leadership to position Freepik as a constructive voice in policy discussions around AI, creativity, and design.

  • Coordinate with communications and legal teams to prepare Freepik’s contributions to policy forums, roundtables, or regulatory consultations.

Agency & Global PR Team Collaboration

  • Act as the point of contact for external PR agencies in Europe.

  • Brief and align agencies on Freepik’s messaging, priorities, and campaign needs. Coordinate cross-market PR activations.

  • Team player with a global PR team and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment, with different time zones

🔎 Who we’re looking for

  • 7–9 years of experience in PR, comms, or public affairs (ideally tech, SaaS, or creative industries).

  • Proven track record of top-tier media coverage in Spain and Europe.

  • Excellent writing & storytelling skills in Spanish + English (C1) — French a plus.

  • Experience engaging with policymakers, associations, or regulatory bodies is highly valued.

  • Strategic thinker, strong executor, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced international environment.
